Hey, mate, take a brief look through a looking glass into one of my books, Phantom Island Chronicles.
So, mate, when was the last time you took to the high seas lurching the deck of a pirate ship or lying sick within its hold? What is the hold? That is where cargo and supplies are stored and where pirates sometimes slept, though they usually slept in the crew’s quarters toward the bow or front of the ship. The captain’s quarters and the officer’s quarters are toward the stern or rear of the ship. The poop deck was at the rear of the ship behind the quarter deck. There was a gun deck and of course a galley, food being a necessity. The crow’s nest, toward the top of the main mast, was where one of the mates watched for land or ships to plunder.
Now Tuckr Priggs, Captain of the Plunder Gun, was the most feared pirate of his day. Kallie, sold to Priggs by her uncle was determined to be the best cabin girl possible. Her friend, Hawkz, the scullery boy, worked for Spudz, longtime pirate and chief cook. Kallie and Hawkz, determined to escape the Plunder Gun, make a deal with Spudz and a mate, a foul fellow named Rooster.
“The sea be a mysterious place!” Capn’ Priggs would tell you. “And most mysterious of all be Phantom Island, a place feared by all who sail the seas.”
So mate, come through the looking glass and join Kallie and Hawkz in their adventures on Phantom Island.
