God Thoughts from a Christian Writer’s Journal
Until I feel led differently I will be sharing with you musings from my journal as “A Christian Writer’s Journal.” I trust you will enjoy them, be stirred by them, and be heartened by them. [A link to journaling ideas]
The Courage of Integrity
You know how it is when you go to the doctor. Mine sends out an appointment reminder that says to arrive fifteen minutes before my scheduled appointment. I do not remember why I was at the doctor’s office, but I do remember arriving the required fifteen minutes early and waiting in the waiting room for some time “beyond” my appointment time, and then waiting again in the examination room. It reminded me of my Army days: ‘Hurry up, and wait.”
While I was waiting I contemplated a plaque on the wall, a picture of a hiker walking across a hanging bridge into the oblivion of a snowstorm. The plaque was titled The Courage of Integrity.
Integrity can be defined as sound and sincere honesty with oneself and others.
The Integrity of Godliness
It seemed the point being depicted by the plaque was that courageous integrity presses on in the face of adversity.
