Atypical Fantasy Fiction
Christian Fantasy Fiction Unique to this Author

The Blood Stream

Although The Blood Stream fits within the Accidental Heroes series as an add-on to book five, Labyrinth, it is also a stand-alone Quick Read Book, exceptional in nature.

Atypical FantasyKandras and Kovan, inseparable twin brothers and defenders of the realm, visit the miffit Ander at the Tower of Arpad. While there Kandras becomes obsessed with the reality of evil in the hearts of men. Kovan does not understand his brother’s pensive mood, let alone his preoccupation with the reality of evil. Kandras’ preoccupation causes a breach between him and his brother and takes them along separate paths to a place beyond the realm. The brothers who have faced great evils without must now face the evil that resides within, an evil that brings them to where the life of one brother rests in the hands of the other. But resentment and anger stand in the way of redemption.

The Crystal of Knowing, the Heart Stone, extraordinary visions, and the nature of the scarlet brook make The Blood Stream a truly remarkable story, like none other you have ever read. Short? Yes. Mesmerizing? You bet! It will give you pause for thought.

The Wayhouse at Weedle Incidents

Unique FantasyThe Wayhouse at Weedle Incidents involves a number of escapades that take place either loosely or directly connected with the Wayhouse at Weedle located in the Morse Mountain Country. The stories are powerful, unique, and thought provoking. Most of the tales involve Kadizrek, the Wandering Wizard, and they illustrate various biblical truths relative to character and attitude.

Each story will surprise, and you will find each story compelling. The story form is unique to the author. You are not likely to say, “Oh, these are like so-and-so’s stories. I am confident you will find them entertaining and intriguing.

Son of Cain

Unique FictionAgain, you will not find another story like Son of Cain, mingling a bit of fantasy with a story grounded in the pre-flood biblical world. When my wife read it she found the beginning a bit strange, but the story grew on her and the powerful ending brought her to tears. It may sound strange, but writing the ending brought me to tears. It is a story of man’s fallen condition and God’s amazing grace.

One moment you will hate Dar’ock and the next you will love him. You’ll shake your head at Garfe, the troglodyte. And then there is sweet Yennea. You will love her. Son of Cain mingles sadness and joy. The story will play with your emotions, but you won’t regret reading it.

The Droll Child

Talk about atypical fantasy fiction. The Droll Child is exceptional as a Paleoindian fantasy story rooted in actual Indian lore. In one sense it is a Native American fantasy, and was dedicated to a friend of mine who was from the Huron tribe.

This AuthorLittle Bear questions his grandfather, Dark Scar, about his heritage. The old man tells the boy the story of the droll child, a story of societal erosion, treachery, misuse of power, and yet a story of great bravery, and adventure. Snarling Wolf and Morning Star give birth to a dread droll child, and the evil spirit seer, Yellow Fang, determines that the droll child must die. However, the child is saved by the mythical White Lobo. Yellow Fang is determined to hunt down and destroy the child lest he overthrow the traditions of spirit seer controlled tribal life.
